The Nilgiri District is in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Nilgiri means Blue Mountains and the tea from this region is often referred to as Blue Mountain Tea.
This lovely tea from the Thiashola tea garden is reminiscent of the seasons first plucking of Assam, it has a multi-coloured uneven leaf with green spots, the infusion is a copper red which carries the scent of fresh flowers
